Welcome to Socratic Stories the Social Museum and an innovation of the Socratic Institute for ‘Values and Ethics’. A global effort aimed at the preservation of inspirational ideas that could make the world a better place. Here, the artefacts are soft; they are spoken by great minds, invaluable and you can run with it. Stories are the cornerstones of our existence. We speak and think in the past, present and future and humanity is inextricably tied to history. Yuval Noah Hariri captured this succinctly “The real difference between us and Chimpanzees is the mysterious glue that enables millions of humans to cooperate effectively. This mysterious glue is made up of stories not genes”. In every language we speak, there is an overarching objective of ensuring we do not disconnect past from present and use present to inspire future. The future (will) one day (be) present and in time, (was) the past. They should never be disconnected it is the only way to make sense of our reality. We invite you to join this platform, become a member plan your message and upload a story as a short video or written. Our board of editors will review and publish or revert back where necessary.
